DAN TEETER

Dan Teeter, a leader in connected vehicles and market intelligence, has been an advocate for Hytch Rewards and fully supports our vision of social responsibility and sustainability. Dan was the driving force behind Nissan’s early support for Hytch when he was leading Nissan’s Vehicle Connected Services team and helped us kick things off at our Launch Party in January, 2018. As one of the early advocates and corporate sponsors for Hytch, Dan saw the potential for a start-up with altruism at its core to make a big impact on transportation, congestion, infrastructure, and especially people’s lives.

Dan joined Nissan in 2006 and led their Market Intelligence team until 2013 when he became Director of Vehicle Connected Services. After he left Nissan in 2022, he started Teeter Advisors, LLC and joined AutoMobility Advisors where he works to guide start-ups, technology companies, investors, and research firms toward success in the connectivity, mobility, digitalization, and innovation spaces. He is also actively pursuing several start-up opportunities in his spare time.

Prior to joining Nissan, Dan held a variety of roles at Ford Motor Company including market research, strategy, field operations, and data analytics. Often a pioneer, Dan did some of the earliest research at Ford on customer acceptance of hybrid electric vehicles and connected vehicle technologies.
With over 30 years of total automotive OEM experience, Dan brings a wealth of experience to the Hytch Board for solving the challenges of congestion, shared ridership, sustainability, and smarter mobility through technology enabled customer experiences.

On a personal note, Dan is a dedicated husband and father to two sons: all of whom he could not be more proud! Dan loves spending quality time with Heidi and they both enjoy watching their kids play Ultimate Frisbee at the high school and intercollegiate levels. Dan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in American History, and he has an MBA from the University of Michigan.”
