AMY FORD

As the Vice President of Public Policy and Mobility on Demand with ITS America, Amy Ford leads the strategic direction and activities of the ITS America policy programs in the areas of emerging transportation technology, sustainability, connected and automated transportation, as well as the Mobility on Demand Alliance. The MODA promotes an innovative, traveler-focused approach to transportation that leverages emerging mobility services, integrated transit networks and operations, real-time data, connected travelers and cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Prior to working with MODA, Amy served as the Chief of Advanced Mobility for the Colorado Department of Transportation, responsible for accelerating innovation programs and policies, including workforce of the future, communications and transportation technologies. She directed the RoadX Program which is focused on transformational transportation solutions like connected, autonomous, hyperloop and other technologies. Amy also served as the Chair for the state of Colorado’s Autonomous Mobility Task Force which is responsible establishing consistent policy and operational deployment guidance in support of an autonomous mobility future.

With over 20 years of experience working in transportation, education and city public affairs, Amy owned her own strategic communications firm prior to CDOT and has led various economic and community development efforts in the City and County of Denver. She received her Master in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.
